Terms of Service

Effective date: July 15, 2026

Last updated: July 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of CasaLife, including the website, authenticated application, Ask Casa, capture, email-intake, calendar-connection, approval, receipt, and Undo features (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by CasaLife LLC ("CasaLife," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the CasaLife Privacy Policy, available at https://casalife.app/privacy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

1. Founder-only pilot

CasaLife is currently an invite-only founder pilot. Public signup and activation for additional households are disabled. Access may be limited, changed, suspended, or ended as CasaLife tests security, reliability, provider integrations, privacy controls, and product behavior.

The Service may contain unfinished features, errors, interruptions, or provider-dependent behavior. Pilot labels, blocked states, and limitations must be treated as part of the Service rather than as promises of general availability.

2. Eligibility and household authority

You may use the Service only if CasaLife has invited or authorized you and you can legally agree to these Terms. You must provide accurate account information and maintain an active, authorized household membership.

Household roles may include owner, adult, teen, child, guest, or service roles. The founder pilot is intended for invited adults. Children and teens cannot independently sign up. Child and teen roles are household permission labels managed by an authorized adult and do not provide public or independent child signup. An adult who adds or manages information about a child or teen represents that the adult has authority to do so and is responsible for the related privacy and sharing choices.

Household owners may manage membership and certain household-level settings. Each member remains responsible for content, provider accounts, credentials, calendar selections, and sharing choices connected through that member's account.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for safeguarding your CasaLife account, device, authentication methods, and provider credentials. Do not share credentials with an unauthorized person or use another member's account.

Notify CasaLife promptly if you believe an account, intake address, provider authorization grant, or other connection has been compromised. CasaLife may pause or revoke a connector or account when reasonably necessary to protect the household or Service.

4. The Service

CasaLife may help authorized household members:

  • capture and organize household information;
  • create and relate tasks, events, reminders, documents, receipts, and other records;
  • forward email to an opaque household-bound intake address;
  • connect and synchronize selected Apple/iCloud, Google, Microsoft, and ICS/webcal calendars;
  • configure per-calendar audience and detail controls;
  • ask questions using Ask Casa and receive AI-assisted responses;
  • review proposed actions before supported external writes;
  • receive a receipt for completed supported actions; and
  • use Undo when CasaLife can safely reverse the exact supported action.

Features may depend on provider availability, provider policy, employer or tenant consent, rate limits, network access, and the member's permissions. CasaLife will not bypass a provider's or employer's access policy.

5. Connected providers and credentials

You authorize CasaLife to access only the provider account and calendars you choose and only within the scopes shown during connection.

Apple/iCloud

Apple/iCloud Calendar is unavailable while CasaLife completes the provider registration and implementation required for an Apple-supported Apple Account authorization flow. CasaLife does not request or accept your Apple Account password or an app-specific password for Calendar access. When the connection becomes available, you will be responsible for approving and revoking the authorization through Apple.

Google

Google Calendar uses OAuth. The founder-pilot application requests calendar-list read access and calendar-event access needed for discovery, synchronization, approved writes, and supported Undo. You may revoke the grant through Google or disconnect it in CasaLife.

Microsoft

Microsoft Calendar uses Microsoft identity OAuth and delegated calendar access. Organizational administrators may require approval or deny access. CasaLife does not request mail, contacts, files, or unrelated Microsoft Graph permissions for Release 0.13 and will not bypass a tenant policy.

ICS/webcal

ICS/webcal subscriptions use a URL you provide. The URL may itself grant access to a private feed, so you must treat it as a credential and provide it only if you are authorized. ICS/webcal access is read-only in CasaLife.

You represent that you have authority to connect each provider account, calendar, and feed. You must not connect another person's account or confidential employer resource without permission. Provider terms continue to apply independently of these Terms.

Personal calendars remain owned and controlled by the member and the original provider. CasaLife does not require a personal calendar to be made public, and connecting a calendar does not transfer ownership to CasaLife.

6. Member content and permissions

You retain ownership of content you submit or connect to the extent you own it. You grant CasaLife a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, reproduce, transform, and transmit that content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the authorized Service.

You are responsible for the lawfulness, accuracy, and appropriateness of content you provide and for obtaining any permission needed from other household members, attendees, senders, employers, schools, or third parties.

Do not submit content that infringes another person's rights, violates law, contains malicious code, attempts to compromise the Service, or is outside your authority to share.

7. Household sharing and privacy controls

CasaLife uses household membership, roles, and member-selected visibility controls. Calendar sources can be private to the connected member, visible to selected adults, or visible to the household, with full details, title and time only, or busy/free only. Microsoft work calendars default to busy/free detail.

You are responsible for reviewing these settings before sharing sensitive personal, work, school, medical, financial, or legal information. Selecting household or selected-adult visibility instructs CasaLife to make the authorized view available to those members. Changing a setting affects CasaLife access but does not change the original provider's own sharing settings.

8. AI-assisted features

Ask Casa and other intelligence features may use the OpenAI API to process your request and limited authorized context. AI output can be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or misleading. You must review output before relying on it or approving an action.

CasaLife is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, tax, safety, or emergency advice. Do not use the Service as the sole basis for a high-impact decision or in an emergency.

AI output does not authorize access to another member's private data, change household roles, approve an action, or override a provider policy. CasaLife may decline, narrow, or route a request for review when confidence or authorization is insufficient.

9. Approvals, provider writes, receipts, and Undo

CasaLife requires a persisted member approval before supported external calendar writes. You are responsible for reviewing the provider, destination calendar, event details, attendees, timing, recurrence, and privacy implications before approving.

A receipt confirms the operation CasaLife recorded; it is not a guarantee that every provider, device, attendee, or downstream system has processed the change. Undo is available only when CasaLife can safely identify and reverse the exact Casa-created provider event. Undo may be unavailable after a provider-side change, credential revocation, permission change, provider outage, or other external condition.

10. Email intake and attachments

You may use only the intake address assigned to your authorized household. Do not publish that address or use it for unsolicited, unlawful, or high-volume traffic.

Forwarded email may contain personal information belonging to senders or recipients. You are responsible for having authority to provide that email to CasaLife. During the founder pilot, attachments are unscanned and quarantined. CasaLife does not represent that an attachment is malware-free or safe to open.

11. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • access or attempt to access another household or member's private information without authorization;
  • probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, privacy controls, rate limits, kill switches, approvals, or security boundaries;
  • upload malware or use the Service to distribute harmful, deceptive, or unlawful material;
  • use an intake address, calendar connector, or AI feature for spam, surveillance, harassment, or unauthorized collection;
  • reverse engineer or copy the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • use the Service in a way that materially burdens or disrupts the Service or a connected provider; or
  • misrepresent AI output or a CasaLife receipt as human, provider, or professional confirmation.

CasaLife may investigate suspected misuse and may pause or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect members, providers, or the Service.

12. Privacy

The CasaLife Privacy Policy, available at https://casalife.app/privacy, explains how CasaLife collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal and household information.

You are responsible for reviewing the Privacy Policy and for using household roles, calendar visibility settings, provider permissions, and other privacy controls appropriately.

If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy regarding the collection, use, disclosure, retention, or deletion of personal information, the Privacy Policy controls with respect to that issue.

13. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party services, including hosting, database, authentication, AI, email, and calendar providers. Their services, terms, policies, uptime, permissions, and technical behavior are outside CasaLife's control. CasaLife is not responsible for a third party's independent service, account decision, policy denial, data handling, or outage.

Links or connections to a third-party service do not imply that CasaLife owns, controls, or endorses that service.

14. CasaLife intellectual property

CasaLife and its licensors own the Service, software, design, branding, documentation, and related intellectual property, excluding member content and third-party materials. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service only for the authorized founder pilot. They do not transfer ownership or permit you to use CasaLife trademarks or branding outside the Service without permission.

If you provide feedback, you allow CasaLife to use it without restriction or compensation, provided CasaLife does not publicly identify you or disclose private household content through that use without authorization.

15. Changes, suspension, and termination

CasaLife may change or discontinue pilot features, provider adapters, limits, or access when reasonably necessary for security, legal, provider, or product reasons. CasaLife may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms, security risk, unauthorized use, or end of the pilot.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may pause or disconnect supported providers and revoke access with the provider. Disconnecting a provider stops future authorized connector access and removes the active CasaLife credential reference, but it does not automatically delete records already synchronized into CasaLife.

The Privacy Policy explains current deletion behavior and limitations. During the pilot, contact CasaLife for assistance with data access or deletion that is not available through a self-service control.

16. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the founder-pilot Service is provided "as is" and "as available." CasaLife disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

CasaLife does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every provider; that synchronized information will always be complete or current; that AI output will be accurate; or that an external write or Undo will succeed under every provider condition.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CasaLife and its officers, members, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CasaLife's total liability arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid CasaLife for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

18. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CasaLife and its officers, members, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, content you provide without authority, your unauthorized connection of a provider account or feed, or your material breach of these Terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, or, when federal jurisdiction exists, in the United States District Court serving Hillsborough County, Florida. Each party consents to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts and waives any objection based on inconvenient forum or improper venue.

Before filing a legal action, the parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally by providing written notice describing the dispute and allowing at least thirty days for a response. This informal-resolution requirement does not prevent either party from seeking immediate injunctive or other equitable relief when reasonably necessary to protect accounts, confidential information, privacy, security, or intellectual property.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or waived.

20. General terms

If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. CasaLife's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your pilot access or these Terms without CasaLife's permission. CasaLife may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the founder-pilot Service unless CasaLife and you sign a separate written agreement. Headings are for convenience only.
